Compulsory academic subjects: Chinese
Elective academic subjects: Business, ICT, Environmental Science.
Professional subjects: Dance, Drama, Music, Media.
Elective courses: Chinese and Western music appreciation, Western arts, culture and custom.
Except for Chinese, all subjects use English as the first language of instruction, and Chinese will be supplemented when necessary.
Students will go to different classes according to their personalized timetable formulated for them by the principal. A class usually has about 10-20 students, and in some instances one-on-one instruction take place in our Arts courses.
Graduates will get a double certificate: a graduation certificate from Shenzhen Yinao Art Academy + A level certificate from the Cambridge Examination Bureau.
The Academy has its own college counseling department, employing a mentorship system. College counselors assist students in planning their academic journey, including evaluating in-school performance, standardized testing, and enhancing their background. This guidance helps students better manage their time during their studies and prepares them adequately for applying to top universities. The primary services offered include:
1. One-on-One Consultations
2. Monitoring student performance, arranging meetings with foreign educators, and guiding course selection.
3. Providing recommendations for Academy programs, majors, and extracurricular activities, tailored to individual interests and talents.
4. Creating plans based on students' personal backgrounds, academics, interests, hobbies, and career aspirations to help them clarify their academic direction.
5. Regular college counseling sessions covering various aspects of the application process.
6. Planning for winter and summer breaks, advising on summer school applications, and offering reasonable scheduling advice.
7. Comprehensive support for university applications in countries and regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong.
8. Paying attention to students' academic progress while also considering their physical and psychological development.
9. Crafting a recommendation letter from the college counselor based on the student's personality and extracurricular activities.
Students can enter an Arts university with the knowledge of the four major sections, or they can take their major as an extended elective and enter a comprehensive university.
BTEC certificates are not only recognized by Commonwealth countries but are also accepted by the vast majority of universities in many countries, including the United States, Singapore, Japan, and others. This recognition extends not only to prestigious UK institutions like Oxford and Cambridge but also to world-renowned American universities such as Harvard and Yale, as well as top art schools around the world.
The purpose of the assessment is to determine the candidate's level of English and Mathematics. In particular for a student to be successful in our Academy they require a minimum level of proficiency in English at Entry. The student will need to be prepared to converse in English in the interview with the Academy Principal including a self introduction and why they would like to join our school.
Sudents are not restricted by nationality.
1. Submit the application form.
2. Pay the initial application fee.
3. Take an academic assessment and an art interview. Academic assessment include Chinese and Math written test and an oral interview. To perform the art interview, students should provide a recording of their performance or do live performance if appropriate.
4. Students who pass the assessments and interview will receive an admission notice. If the student is not successful, they can apply to the admissions assistant for a second assessment, but the application fee will not be charged again.
5. Students need to pay initial fee within 7 days after admission form is sent.

Yes they can. We have four majors, of which music and dance majors require an artistic foundation, while media and theater do not. In the admission process we will determine an Arts learning plan for the student based upon their background and experience level.
Classes will be taught in English, and as long as students thoroughly understand the concepts, deepen their understanding, and strictly complete the learning tasks assigned by the teacher, they will be able to aachieve a level of success.
Hotel-style apartments are available in the vicinity of the College to meet the accommodation needs of students. Two students share one room. Each student is equipped with a single bed (1mx2m), a double-door wardrobe, and a single study desk. The shared facilities in each room include: washing machine, air conditioner, water heater, drying rack, etc.
The academy adopts tight security procedures. The entrances and exits are equipped with electronic gates and 24-hour security guards. The college is equipped with a monitoring system.
The master class is directly taught by professors from well-known overseas colleges. We will invite students from other colleges and universities at home and abroad to exchange and study together. It is free for students of YIAA, and other students need to pay additional fees. The master class takes the form of direct dialogue between students and masters, allowing students to set goals and discover their own talents under their all-round encouragement.
